VPJ8271 Air Brake Relief Valve - Safeguard Valve Kit. 

This valve is located underneath the tractor's main chassis cab platform, typically mounted alongside the pneumatic air compressor reservoir tanks.

Once the system reaches its maximum factory operating limit (usually around 8.1 bar / 117 psi.

This valve opens to release excess pressure safely, preventing the trailer lines or reservoir tanks from rupturing.

It controls high-pressure pneumatics, if the valve leaks or sticks shut, your trailer brakes will either drag or lose pressure completely.
